PAPER BELOW
1) The doctrine’s development in the Bible simply reflects that it must be authentic. Its authenticity depends upon the knowledge that there is one God guiding us people as opposed to the belief that there is more than one God for us all.
“The Father
We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible.
The Son
And [we believe] in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only-begotten of the Father.
That is, of the substance of the Father; God of God and Light of light; true God of true God; begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father.
By [him] all things were made, both which are in heaven and on earth: who for the sake of us men, and on account of our salvation, descended, became incarnate, and was made man; suffered, arose again the third day, and ascended into the heavens, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
The Holy Spirit
[We] also [believe] in the Holy Spirit.” (Christian History for Everyman).
The council of Nicaea was established when there was a debate between the belief of the Bishop of Alexandria, Alexander and one of the elders of the council, Arius, an elder council member.
This was in 325 A.D.
Arius would have been totally banned if it were not for Bishop Eusebius who helped him.
Constantine, the Great, much confused in 318 A.D. set up the Council of Nicaea to come up with a proper, singular creed for every person. He meant to bond every man with the religion of Christianity.
Arius contradicted the Creed by believing that God created Jesus Christ from the nothing and that all creatures are came from nothing as wel2)The Doctrine of Trinity is a mystery of faith because only God can reveal the mystery of faith. It is meant to be a mystery for only a discerning few can reach that knowledge.
3) Economic Trinity focuses on the action or the industry of God while Immanent Trinity is the knowledge of who God is. For example we know the Holy Trinity is God in one whereas the pragmatism of God, God in our everyday life , at work, chores in the house all should be done for the glory of God or imbibed with the spirit of God.
4) In the Council of Chalcedon it was agreed that Jesus had two important qualities: both divine and human. For example, Christ is the son of God therefore is not of this world but to be loved and adored whereas as a human, he is just like everyone else, meaning he hurts, he loves, he is humble.
5) In Christology, we recall the Old Testament as referring to the immanent arrival of the Son of God. In the New Testament we remember the teachings of Christ as well as the holy divine and human life of Christ.
6) The Council of Nicaea taught us to believe as a creed that there is only one God unlike other people who believe otherwise.
“In 325 AD, Emperor Constantine invited every bishop in the church to gather in Nicaea and formally establish Christian doctrine. The goal was to unite the increasingly divided church with a set of beliefs its leaders agreed on and would hold each other accountable to.” (Nelson, 2018).
