For each section, answer one of the two questions below in essay format.

Key term listed in docs below

In forming your answer to each section: (1) respond to the prompt with a sentence that introduces your argument and summarizes your main points; (2) use approximately 4-5 key terms from the syllabus, demonstrating comprehension of them and their historical significance—underline them,1 (3) cite 4-5 examples from different readings.

You will be evaluated based on your demonstration of understanding of key terms, your ability to form a good argument that responds to the prompt, and your use of evidence from lectures but especially showing a deeper understanding drawn from the readings.

You do not need to provide every possible bit of evidence, but do your best to bring in multiple examples from different sources and different parts of the world. As a guide on word count, if a section includes 4-5 keywords, 4-5 examples from different readings, that should run about 400 words or 2 pages.

Do your own work! This is not a group exercise.
