This week you will review the NAADAC code of ethics and summarize the key standards in a PowerPoint presentation.

The NAADAC Code of Ethics is designed as a statement of the values of the profession and as a guide for making clinical decisions. As such, it is essential to understand the expectations, values and guidelines that inform group therapists and addictions counselors. View the NAADAC code of ethics at: http://www.naadac.org/code-of-ethics. After you have reviewed purpose, role and standards outlined in the code of ethics, create a PowerPoint presentation that summarizes the expectations outlined in this standard.

Assignment Expectations:

• Length: 13 content slides (not including title and refernce slide)

• References: all necessary information can be obtained from the NAADAC website; no additional references are required

• Structure: first slide should include your presentation title and your name. Slides in the body of the presentation should

include a combination of text, graphics and/or video (video length must not exceed 3 minutes). The final slide of your presentation should include the APA style citation for the code of ethics.

• Provide an explanation of the slide’s content in each slide’s Notes Page (as if you are creating a conference presentation for your supervisor to present)
