There are two managers competing on a project for a client. One manager is pushing his team to complete the proposal quickly while maintaining the quality as they don’t want to keep the client waiting. Their idea is good and from the quick market research they were able to pull together, they believe that it will be a good fit for the client.
The other manager’s team will need an additional week to complete their proposal, but during that week they conducted additional market research and discovered a unique difference in this specific clients’ market needs.
Read the following and write a 400-word essay (200 words for each part) explaining the followings:
- Explain the difference between the two approaches. (20 Marks)

Peter is a company CEO based in United States and specialized in manufacturing technology systems for more than 20 years. Recently, he moved to Abu Dhabi as a head with one of the Technology department positions. Peter is planning to apply the same approaches that he used to follow in his country to lead his new organization while the staff are from different nationalities and cultures.
- a) In your opinion, how does management differ from leadership? (20 Marks)
- b) Do you think Peter’s new position as a Leader or a Manager? Why? (20 Marks)
